The Guilford Baseball Boosters along with both the Guilford and Daniel Hand High School Baseball programs are hosting a Toy Drive to benefit Yale New Haven Hospital's Toy Closet Program. The Toy Drive will take place during the Guilford vs. Hand baseball game on Monday, May 2nd - 4 pm. at Guilford High School Field.
We ask anyone who will be attending the game to consider purchasing a new, unwrapped toy or gift card to donate to the Program. Toys or gift cards can be purchased for children of any age, from toddlers to teens.
The Toy Closet Program was started in 1993 by News 8 Anchor and long time Madison resident, Ann Nyberg, along with the YNHH Auxiliary, and has been an enduring success over the years. In the past year, the Program supplied more than 150,000 toys to YNHH locations and their pediatric patients. Both the Guilford & Madison baseball programs are excited to contribute to their cause and are hoping for everyone's help in making this a huge success.
